Engineering
TDA was founded by aeronautical engineers with experience in both military and commercial aircraft, and aeronautical engineering has always remained central to TDA’s business. Since our inception, TDA has worked extensively with the United States Navy’s (USN) Aircraft Structures Division in support of their fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.
Software
TDA has extensive experience in web and client-server application design, development, implementation, and website hosting. We have the skill set to couple core technologies such as Java/J2EE with legacy and emerging technologies for dynamic, content-driven, and easy-to-manage applications.

Scott Bradfield
President
Mr. Bradfield brings 34 years of aeronautical engineering experience and leads TDA’s daily operations and strategic direction. He has a strong background in structural design, software development, and leadership, including the creation of the HeloTrack™ system and business development efforts across engineering, planning, and client relations.
Chance McColl
Vice President
Dr. Chance McColl brings 28 years of experience in aircraft loads engineering. He leads TDA’s loads and software development efforts across fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and UAS platforms. A former lead loads engineer at Boeing and Lockheed Martin, he holds a PhD from Georgia Tech and teaches aerospace courses there. Dr. McColl has also delivered 20+ specialized short courses for U.S. military and industry clients.
Nagaraja Iyyer
Director of Engineering VA
Dr. Nagaraja Iyyer has over 40 years of experience in aircraft structures and program development, primarily supporting U.S. Navy life extension and structural surveillance programs. He specializes in risk assessments, life prediction models, and damage detection techniques. His work has earned numerous awards, including the 2006 NAWC Area Commander’s Award for advancing probabilistic risk assessment in flight safety.
Ted Herring
Director of Engineering MD
Mr. Ted Herring brings over 50 years of experience in Naval aircraft and space systems engineering. He oversees TDA’s work on the U.S. Navy’s SAFE program, including structural design, systems analysis, and materials R&D. A former Navy research pilot with 6,000 flight hours across 15 aircraft, he also brings deep expertise in aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and propulsion integration.
